Key Measures

The overall outcomes by which we will measure our performance are:

1) To increase by 1% per year the percentage of adults participating in at least 30 minutes moderate intensity sport and recreation on 3 or more days per week.

2) For all young people aged 5-16 years to be engaged in a minimum of 5 hours per week quality PE and school sport within and beyond the curriculum.

3) To increase the number of sports volunteers from the current level of 3.6%.

4) To increase the volume and improve the quality of facilities as measured by the Choice and Opportunity Indicator.

Key Objective

Our key objective is to increase participation and widen access in sport and physical activity in order to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
