Wimbledon set to be Sporting Mad
Going for Gold Campaign launches sports week in partnership with AFC Wimbledon
Set the date in your diary. 26th- 30th October 2009 is half term week and time to get sporty in Merton. The first ever Wimbledon Sports Week is part of the Wimbledon Going for Gold campaign, will be organised by Wimbledon Town Centre Management and championed by AFC Wimbledon.
If you are a local sporting venue or club contact us to register your interest in being part of the Week. Activity will take place in Wimbledon town centre and aims to attract local people to try sport and to get involved.
Spaces are available for promotion on the Piazza, if you are a non-commercial organisation we are offering free space during the week to promote your club.
A few of the organisations already signed up include AFC Wimbledon, The All England Club, Goals, David Lloyd Leisure, GLL and Merton and Sutton Primary Care Trust. Space is limited so book early to register your interest.
