Paralympics start 3 years from today

Tomorrow, 29 August, marks three years to go to the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Yes, in just three years' time some of the most inspirational people on the planet will be entering the Stadium, ready for eleven days of world-class competition.

It's another important milestone as we continue on the journey to London 2012.

Paralympic Swimming champion Ellie Simmonds helped mark the day with a visit to the Olympic Park site. She was delighted by the progress she saw - especially the Aquatics Centre, where she hopes to be winning more gold medals in 2012.

You can help mark the day too. Send in your inspirational photos, play the online quiz or take part in the special competition at www.london2012.com/3-years-to-go.

There are great prizes on offer. Or why not learn a bit more about a Paralympic sport, so you're even better prepared to enjoy the action live in just three years' time?
