LET THE GAMES BEGIN conference a great success!
The PRO-ACTIVE South London conference - LET THE GAMES BEGIN! was a huge success.
The conference held at Lensbury, Teddington welcomed 131 delegates throughout the day.
The main conference programme was opened by a keynote address from Simon Macqueen, Sport England’s NGB Relationship Manager. This was followed by presentations from 19 National Governing Bodies (NGB) of Sport on their plans to develop their sport over the coming 3 years. The NGBs present were:
Surrey Cricket; English Gymnastics; The Amateur Rowing Association; London Swimming ASA; The Royal Yachting Association; The British Triathlon Federation; Tennis Surrey; England Basketball; English Table Tennis; Badminton England; The English Golf Partnership; British Judo; British Orienteering; England Squash & Racketball; Rugby Football Union; Rugby Football League; The British Equestrian Federation; English Lacrosse and the Surrey FA.

The evening programme was opened by Brian McDermott, head coach of Harlequins Rugby League. Delegates then had the option of attending 2 of the following 4 workshops.
