Data Sources |
London Data Store. The London Data Store has been created by the Greater London Authority (GLA) as a source of information and data relating to London. It contains a vast range of data on a variety of topics National Data Store. data.gov.uk is home to national & local data for free re-use. Neigbourhood Renewal Data. The Data for Neighbourhood Renewal identifies and signposts the datasets available for targeting, monitoring, priority setting and performance management at a neighbourhood level Greater London Authority. 2009 Borough Stat Pack provides from the GLA contains around 200 Excel spreadsheets of borough level data covering a wide range of topics. Selected topics have also been mapped using and can be viewed using an interactive map. |
Deprivation |
The Index of Multiple Deprivation 2007 combines a number of indicators, chosen to cover a range of economic, social and housing issues, into a single deprivation score for each small area in England. This allows each area to be ranked relative to one another according to their level of deprivation.

Population and Demographic Data |
Census. The 2001 Census is a large body of useful statistical data about the population and their living and working conditions. Data includes information on population levels, social class, tenure, employment, and much more
London Data Store. The London Data Store provides up to date data on a range of population and demographic topics from a range of different sources including the Greater London Authority and National Statistics. Ward Profiles provide a summary of demographic and related data for each ward in Greater London. The profiles are designed to provide an overview of the population in each area by combining a range of data on the population, diversity, households, life expectancy, housing, crime, benefits, land use, deprivation, and employment. The Population and Migration Report published by the GLA as part of the Focus on London 2010 provides a range of data on relating to population and migration across London. Data can be viewed as an interactive map Annual Population Survey provides up to date data on the population down to local authority areas and is available from the NOMIS website Sport England. The Sport Profile tool provides a breakdown of the demographic at a local authority level using data from the Annual Population survey. It also provides data on sport related topics including participation and sport facilities. |
