Are you an enthusiastic and imaginative individual who has experience of working in a Play, youth work or community setting?
If so please read on…The London Borough of Redbridge are looking for suitably qualified individuals to work for the 4 weeks in the summer holidays. You will be working as part of the newly established Play Ranger project. You will be based within an open access park setting and you will be responsible for implementing fun and exciting activities for children aged between 5 and 13 years of age.
The team of Play Rangers will plan, deliver and supervise a structured programme of activities ensuring children experience new and exciting opportunities in a safe environment.
You will need to be a self-motivated, enthusiastic and creative individual.
You will work with 2 Play Rangers as well as the Senior Play Ranger within a park setting in Redbridge. You will be expected to lead play sessions in a range of activities to children aged 5-13 years of age. You will have good knowledge of play work principles and a commitment to developing play opportunities.
You should have a teaching certificate, a youth or play qualification level 2 and experience of working with young people in an outdoors/open access setting. You will be based within two park sites on alternate days.
For the above posts working hours are from 10:00am to 12:00pm Monday to Friday.
You will be expected to attend a pre and post briefing each day at 9:30am and 12:00pm.
