Youth Volunteering Officer (Sport)

    PRO-ACTIVE Central London, the County Sports Partnership for Central London, is looking to develop volunteering opportunities for young people through the Step Into Sport Programme, a national youth volunteering programme delivered jointly by Youth Sport Trust and Sport England.

    This exciting post – six months initially – has been created to support the process of developing placement opportunities for young people in sports settings, particularly sports clubs, across central London. Although an employee of PRO-ACTIVE Central London at London South Bank University, the post-holder will be based at Westminster Volunteer Centre and form part of their Youth Volunteering Team.

    The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that at least 75% of 16-19 year old young people that are referred from School Sports Partnership Leadership Academies in central London are placed in a high quality sports placement.

    Please note that this role will require significant travelling around central London, and working unsociable hours regularly, for example in meeting with voluntary sports clubs.
