    The Canoeing Foundation aims to increase canoeing opportunities for young people.

    The Foundation supports and promotes ventures for youth canoeing, and

    canoeing for disabled people. The Trustees usually try to

    support applications for:-

    • 5 key broad areas: Young People, Equality, Facilities, International work and Heritage

    Projects can cover;

    Equipment that enables young people to take part or develop their skills in canoeing.
    Canoeing Expeditions, including training and activities that involve young people, not just in taking part but also in the planning and organising phases.

    For disabled people projects can cover;

    Specialists equipment that enables disabled people to take part in or develop their skills in canoeing.
    Training for leaders to encourage appropriate sensitive leadership and good practice. For example, it may fund members to attend BCU Disability Awareness Training for Canoe Sport courses.
    Canoeing Expeditions, including training and activities that involve disabled people, not just in taking part but also in the planning and organising phases.

    Grant Application consideration dates

    The closing dates for applications during 2013 are as follows::
