County Golf Partnerships (CGP) are an effective and structured way to support the development of golf within a county. By the County Union and Association working closely together with other appropriate bodies (such as a County PGA) at county level, knowledge, experience, best practice and resources can be combined and utilised. In addition, a CGP will be better positioned to access external funding from local organisations.
Who is eligible? Partnerships are formed between organisations such as County Unions and Associations and County PGAs to develop Golf within a County
How much can you bid for? There are two phases of funding: Phase 1 - £2,500 to assist a CGP in the production of a county development plan that links in with the national development plan produced by the EGP, also to support communication with clubs, promotional material, workshop/forum expenses, volunteer expenses, audit/survey of clubs, working group expenses and other areas of research. Phase 2 – up to a maximum of £10,000 (per year for three years) to support the implementation of a CGP development plan, based on the budget outlined by the partnership.
